I have always wanted to make a Scroll Saw Nut Cracker and here it is.
This is a compound scrolling project where you cut several parts and assemble them into something wonderful.
I highly recommend this project for anyone who likes 3D scroll projects and Nutcrackers.
This Compound Scrolling plan produces a fine Cash Register. It is sized to work with many children's small doll play sets and is quick to make. Finished item is about 1 1/4". Primary Tools: Scroll Saw, Drill
This figure is a quick fun project and a perfect decoration for Saint Patrick's Day. Primary Tools: Scroll Saw
Nautical Chess Set
by James Eckert
This fun set was inspired by my 3d lighthouse plan. These compound scrolling plans are only the chess pieces not the chess board. The king and queen require a small amount shaping with a carving knife or rotary tool to achieve what is seen in the pictures. Primary Tools:Scroll Saw, Drill Press
Plans include patterns for both compound scrolling on a scroll saw and a larger plan for a band saw. Scroll saw giraffe is about 3" tall, band saw version is 6 3/4" tall. A small amount shaping with a carving knife or rotary tool is needed to achieve what is seen in the pictures. Primary Tools: Scroll Saw, Band Saw, Drill Press
This lighthouse is one of my personal favorites. Make the top by itself and its a toy to use with a children's block set, make more than one or kids fight over it. Plans include 1 1/2", 1" and block top version. Primary Tools: Scroll Saw, Drill Press
This balance scale is interesting scroll saw project, which is both pleasing to the eye and functional. Originally built to help with a Stirling engine project, my daughter and I had fun comparing the weight of things from around the house. Primary Tools: Scroll Saw, Drill Press
